Run by connoisseurs of chaos, The Dudes built its reputation through the distinctive visual world of mcbess, translating his illustrations onto a curated range of streetwear staples, alongside the artist’s hangable artworks.

who is mcbess
mcbess is an artist and co-founder of The Dudes. Born in Cannes in the South of France, he made his home in London, UK where he continues to work on illustration, animation and music.
His foundational artistic influences include Fleischer Studios' cartoons, combined with contemporary shapes, symbolism and types. mcbess' deep love of music and cuisine is celebrated in the surrealist worlds he creates, tinged with his own humourous brand of nihilism.
With The Dudes, mcbess translates his artworks to premium streetwear, showcasing the art on limited runs of t-shirts, hoodies, jackets and accessories, while prioritising comfort, quality and attention to detail.
Alongside the clothing range, The Dudes is also where you'll find mcbess screen prints, ranging in size from A3 to large format limited edition pieces, all printed on high quality Fedrigoni paper.
As the founder of Dirty Melody Records, mcbess also regularly releases music under the name 'mcbaise', producing limited edition vinyl for fans and collectors across the world.

Established in 2010, Berlin brand The Dudes joined forces with mcbess to bring his artworks to life on a wearable canvas. Their shared love of life's simplest pleasures made for a partnership which has thrived ever since.
The Dudes' entire production process has been overhauled to ensure high quality, consistency and sustainability, including rigorous quality control and the use of organic, fair-traded cotton for staples such as t-shirts and heavy woven twill fabrics.
Apart from its approved wholesalers across the world, The Dudes is the only clothing brand licensed to use mcbess artwork. Produced in limited runs, our seasonal collections and in-season drops are only available for a short period, making them sought-after by fans and collectors.

Drawing inspiration from classic cartoons, & prominently featuring our mascot Fucky the Bear, the bright colours of the Misadventures range belie the paranoia and fatalism that permeates the world in 2026.

Our hearts are on our sleeves, quite literally. Our Underworlds range takes us back to our roots, celebrating rock 'n roll, classic tattoos, and not giving a single fuck since 2010.

Our premium line, Los Dudes is all about heavyweight fabrics and simplicity. Available only in black and off-white, this range provides staples that you'll use through this season and into the next.
